This dress up game has several themes related to Viking life and mythology. If your character is from Midgard (Middle-earth, our world), then she can be a farmer or an adventurer who wears European medieval clothes made for the cold weather of Scandinavia; or she could be a Viking princess and wear ornate dresses from that era.

But if she’s from Asgard, she could be a goddess like Frigg (Odin’s wife, and the goddess of marriage), Sif (Thor’s wife), Idunn (who guards the apples of eternal youth), or of course, Freya the fertility goddess who has lynxes for pets. She could also be a Valkyrie, and have weapons. The most famous Valkyrie is Brynhild who is in love with the hero Sigurd. Who were the Valkyries? And why did men hope to see a Valkyrie when they die? Not everyone knows what these warrior women of Norse mythology were about. Odin and the gods were engaged in a cosmic battle against the forces of evil (the Giants, as well as Loki and his monsters). The Valkyries fought for Odin, and they also were on the look-out for brave humans to join their ranks and fight alongside the gods in the heavenly realm. So they would appear on the battlefields of men and decide which fallen warriors were worthy of having their souls brought to Odin’s hall, Valhalla; Valkyries were mainly known for this special role.
